Aerodyne Alloys was a major sponsor of the Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters of Connecticut 16th Annual Invitational Golf Tournament that took place on Saturday, July 3rd at the Hop Meadow Country Club in Simsbury, Connecticut.

This was Aerodyne Alloys' second annual major sponsorship of a golf tournament to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. "We deal in high performance alloys and want to see the annual golf event expand to high performance in terms of dollars for this important work. We hope that our involvement as well as the other fine companies who participated will encourage more businesses to become involved," said Greg Chase, President of Aerodyne Alloys.

More than 60 area businesses took to the fairways with one goal in mind, to help generate the dollars necessary to move at-risk kids off the Big Brothers Big Sisters' waiting list and into productive matches with caring adult role models. During the tournament, players had the option of participating in three different competitions at the event including a traditional 4-person scramble, a 4-person scramble for women and a 2-person play-your-own-ball format.

Attendees also took part in lunch, on course contests, a cocktail reception, dinner, a silent auction and awards. "Tapping into the potential of young people who will become the future leaders and innovators of the country is truly a worthwhile program to support," added Mr. Chase.
