Aerodyne Alloys 3rd annual Lee Denim Day fundraiser for breast cancer gets more jeans and more participation
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT / October 2009

Aerodyne Alloys conducts its 3rd annual support fund raiser for The Lee National Denim Day. The cause supports finding a cure for breast cancer.
Last year Aerodyne Alloys' President, Greg Chase expanded the fund raising effort by inviting its customer base to participate. "Last year numerous customers joined in with a charitable spirit on Lee Denim Day.
This year we've seen an increase in customer participation of about 12 percent. This is significant because customers have to be willing to make a shift in their purchase schedules to coincide with the one day fund raiser," said Greg Chase.
To make the giving process simple the program focused on orders received in October. A donation of 1% of those revenues go to Lee Denim Day.
As handled last year, donations are given in the customers' names not Aerodyne Alloys. The company raised $4,000 in its South Windsor facility which included a dollar-for-dollar match on employee giving. "We are determined to continue making a difference pound-by-pound," added Mr. Chase, "and every customer and employee makes the difference in success."
About Lee Denim Day:
Since its inception in 1996, Lee National Denim Day has adhered to a simple philosophy: one day, one cause, one cure®. In just over a decade, that philosophy has become a mantra for millions and has made an impact Lee Jeans never dreamed possible. It all started when several Lee Jeans employees realized that each of them, in one form or another, had been touched by breast cancer. An everyday conversation sparked an idea and led to the creation of Lee National Denim Day, which has become one of the largest single-day fundraisers nationwide for breast cancer. Since its first year, Lee National Denim Day has raised more than $70 million for the fight against breast cancer and unites nearly one million supporters nationwide each year.
