NEW AERODYNE ALLOYS Manager of Quality

Effective July 11, 2011 Sowin Kong will join Aerodyne as Manager of Quality. Mark Ruel, Dave Borowiec, Heather Rizzo, and Christine Gerrity will report to Sowin. Sowin will report directly to Jon Dymczyk.
Sowin has worked in the Quality discipline for more than 20 years for companies such as US Surgical and Cooper Surgical. He has managed Quality Technicians, written test procedures, created product specs, performed root cause analysis, driven continuous improvements and completed internal and external audits. He is proficient in Lean / Six Sigma techniques and is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt. Sowin has BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and is pursuing his MBA in Project Management and Organizational Behavior. Sowin lives in Hamden.
Sowin’s overall role will be to manage and standardize the Quality function at all Aerodyne locations as well as maintain our company quality certifications. During his first few months with the company, Sowin will spend time in all departments and travel to all Aerodyne locations to learn our processes.
